I'm going to make this quick because they're coming for us. We're headed back up to the cath lab now. Dr. Moore is going to look at the fenestration to see exactly what's going on. If possible, they'll place a catheter in the fenestration to administer localized tPA. They'll only do this if they feel the risk of dislodging the clot (i.e. stroke) is not severe, although this risk is "not insignificant." Alternatively might try to stent the cath if it's failing for mechanical reasons (it's twisted, crushed, bent, collapsed, etc.). We've consented to either intervention.
If the doctors agree that the fenestration can't be salvaged, they'll leave it and send Riley back down. In that case, they might consider trying a second fenestration in the cath lab, but we'll need to wait a few weeks because they want to wait for his chest to heal from the recent surgery. That's it for now, more when we have it.

We're praying hard for a reversal of fortune and things to improve. We're thinking of you. All our love

Thoughts, prayers, good wishes and all the good luck imaginable for Riley. Hope he comes out of this ordeal safe and sound.
Good Lord! He needs a break!! We are praying (all day between teaching) that the doctors have wisdom to figure out the issues, make decisions and solve the problems. I pray that the cath lab brings success for the present fenestration. Love and hugs to you. Auntie Karen and Stephen
At least it sounds like there is some kind of plan. For some reason that is some comfort. Praying and hoping for safety and accuracy and some answers.
loveyou all

I am not sure what to hope for. That they can redo the fenestration and his sats drop? Its hard to imagine what you are going through.
Thikning of you guys.
