Riley's cath is scheduled for 3pm today and he is NPO now (no food or drink). Dr. Moore will stent the narrowed vein and also measure all of the pressures ahead of surgery. Surgery will take place tomorrow, specific time is still TBD. Dr. Karl is available but they need to schedule an operating room. We should know the specific time soon. Riley may spend the night in the intensive care unit depending on whether or not the cardiologists leave lines in place.
Unfortunately it's too late to donate directed blood for Riley. Last year we had lots of donations and Riley ended up needing 8 units of blood (and tons of blood parts). Our goal has always been to leave the blood supply better off than we found it. We want Riley's surgeries to have a "net positive" impact on the blood supply. We encourage you to contact your local Red Cross and donate blood.

Sorry they couldn't schedule the two together but at least everything got fast-tracked so you don't have to do a lot more waiting... Riley looked great and strong last night so I'm sure he'll sail through and be home in no time. I'm sure you guys can't wait to get your routine back. Boring routine is really under-rated at times. :) Love, hugs, kisses and prayers to you all! -Jayne, Randy, Kadence & Baden
